In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Town of East Kingston has taken the following temporary actions listed below by each department. These temporary measures will be in effect, at a minimum, through April 6 to ensure the safety and health of the East Kingston community. Please look out for future releases and notifications as this is a very dynamic situation and information is continuing to develop.
Building Inspector:

Fire Department and Emergency Management:

The East Kingston Fire Department Building is closed to the public until further notice. Services may be obtained by:

- The school lunch program will continue as long as it is needed and any changes to the current system will be communicated to the public as the information is made available.
- Permits and inspections are suspended until further notice.
- Burn permits can still be obtained online.

Planning Board:
Regularly scheduled meeting for Thursday, March 19 has been CANCELLED. A web conferencing platform may be employed at the next meeting in March. More information will be provided prior to meeting.

Town Clerk/Tax Collector:
Clerk’s office is closed to the public and all walk-in service has been suspended until further notice. Most town clerk business and services can be conducted online. Any questions can be made directly to Barbara Clark and contact should be made through the following:

- DOG LICENSING: Dogs can be licensed online or by mail. The deadline is April 30.
- MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS: Utilize DMV website and town website for online services.
- Gov. Chris Sununu has authorized the extension of all temporary plates issued after 3/1 until April 30.

A lock box will be installed at the entrance of the Town Offices to allow residents to drop off paperwork and payments. Please place such items in an envelope before leaving in the lock box. Please do not leave cash in the lock box.
Trash and Recycling:
Our Vendor, Waste Management, reports no interruption in service as of the date of this release. Any new information will be distributed as it is made available.]
The Town of Newton transfer station is closed to all non-residents until further notice. As a result, services can be obtained for a fee from area businesses. One such business is ERRCO, a private corporation located in Epping. Please call for pricing and availability: 603-679-2626. Website address is: http://www.errco.com/. Bulky goods (by the ton), construction debris (by the ton) and white goods and air conditioning units are accepted.
Zoning Board of Adjustment:
Office is closed to walk-in service. Next scheduled meeting is April 23. A web conferencing platform may be employed at next meeting. More information is forthcoming and will be posted prior to meeting.
